If you are in the county wide HMIS System (due to coordinated assessment, for example) you likely qualify for a free electronic bus pass card with unlimited rides. They are replaceable but not transferrable.

New interim Homeless Strategy Officer releases report to Austin City Council
The City of Austin received a report from the new interim Homeless Strategy Officer which focused mostly on interim shelters.
"The city reports that all shelter capacity in the entire system is at 100%. Participation time in temporary shelter city-run has increased from 180 days to 227 days due to lack of housing options."
We have conducted a review of our capacity in each of the different ways we serve our clients. The limiting factors to are capacity seem to be availability of staff and space in the facility.

Chapin Halls Reports Increase in First-Time Youth Homelessness
Homelessness for younger people looks different than for older individuals. We've known that young adults need different services but data shows how different they are.
"There is a surge of people who are experiencing homelessness for the first time nationally."
