(SYMin Top 10) No. 4: SYMin partnerships respond to hunger on the streets

As most pandemic relief programs ended and meal ministries that didn’t survive the pandemic closed their doors, hunger became a significant need for those living in poverty and on the street.

As most pandemic relief programs ended and meal ministries that didn’t survive the pandemic closed their doors, hunger became a significant need for those living in poverty and on the street.

Through a partnership with Bags of Grace Ministry and a $15,000 anti-hunger grant from Covenant Presbyterian Church, we were able to help more than 250 people monthly with outreach bags and meet approximately 24 new clients each month, too! We have also received another grant from Gloria Dei to continue our food access programs into 2024! One of our major goals is to provide more fresh and nutritious options to our clients. For example, for the first time in a while, we were able to provide fresh vegetables in our “All the Fixin’s” Christmas food bags this year!
