Glimmers of Hope: Finding Stability Through Work

Starting a job can mean so much more than earning a paycheck. For someone who has experienced homelessness and other difficult challenges, regular work can be an important step toward rebuilding stability.

Starting a job can mean so much more than earning a paycheck. For someone who has experienced homelessness and other difficult challenges, regular work can be an important step toward rebuilding stability.

Showing Up and Moving Forward

Three clients have recently started working regularly, joining the large group of clients who are already building their lives through employment.


Each of these young adults has faced hard knocks, mental health stresses, and the instability of literal homelessness. Beginning to work consistently is a meaningful accomplishment in the midst of those challenges.


Regular employment can bring structure, purpose, confidence, and a growing sense of independence. It is also a chance to experience what it feels like to show up, contribute, and build something for yourself.


We are proud to see these clients taking that step and encouraged by the growing number of clients who are working. Every new job represents more than a position. It is another piece of stability being built.
