One of our values is keeping things fresh. We continuously review ideas from clients about needed services and look for ways to deliver. Starting Labor Day, we made the following changes to improve service based on client listening sessions:

• Clients have been making more use of shower time, which was offered M/W/F during the summer. In an effort to provide more access, SYM will now have daily shower times. Showers are now available in the afternoon on Tuesdays and Thursdays as well during our Sunshine Store hour.
• Art group remains one of our most popular groups. We have decided to extend our Wednesday art group hours so that clients have more time to work with their hands, think and talk. Although the Tuesday art group remains 1 hour, on Wednesday's art group will meet for two hours. Increased participation from volunteer art reachers has helped us achieve this goal!
• We love supporting our moms. Over the summer we piloted a monthly "moms swap" where clients can bring extra or outgrown children's items and exchange with one another. We had been conducting this swap after our mom's group meeting. The timing for this swap was cramped so we've deiced to change to a monthly format. This will allow a full two hours for topic discussion sessions and then the swap meet. We also collect items from donors to share.
