Thanks to your faithful support and our team’s sharp focus on operational efficiency, we covered all of our cash operating expenses through September.

As expected, we just wrapped up a quiet third quarter. Summer is always our slowest season for donations, and this summer’s numbers matched last year's almost dollar-for-dollar. But because we entered the season in a strong position, our daily care for street-dependent youth never skipped a beat.

Now, as we enter the end of the year, it’s time to finish strong.

Our end-of-year budget is lean and focused, but we know times are uneven across our community right now. If you have been hit hard by current economic conditions, please know how deeply grateful we are for your prayers, volunteer hours, and encouragement.

Growing Mission & Long-Term Stability

Looking at where we are today fills me with immense gratitude. Over the past couple of years, even while trimming operational overhead, our mission didn’t shrink—it grew:

• Job Readiness & Coaching: We launched one-on-one coaching and career workshops to help young adults move toward long-term independence.
• Client Laundry Program: We established a remarkably successful laundry partnership across the street, allowing clients to maintain dignity and hygiene even when donated clothing was low.
• Expanded Food Recovery: We scaled up corporate partnerships to nourish more youth at drop-in and outreach than ever before.

At the same time, we’ve built out distributed leadership across our staff and core team, ensuring that SYMin isn't just surviving day-to-day, but is healthy, stable, and built to serve for years to come.
