We moved at the end of last year, so we had some decisions to make about our event center, where clients rest and we hold fun events like Game Night and Talent Night. And we wanted flexibility to dress it up for each holiday and season for special Friday Fun Days throughout the year. We're delighted with the outcome. Plus, we put in some significant upgrades! Clients have a fridge where they can browse for prepared foods to reheat, take for later, or snack as is. It is donated by local grocers, restaurants and caterers through partners like the Johnson Center, Keep Austin Fed, and others. We were able to provide a huge nutritional upgrade compared to the pandemic era offerings. The small sink area and counter also allow food demonstrations, dehydration. and smoothie making to help train our clients on better nutrition. We help with so many life skills.
