December Donor 24 Meeting
Join us for our December Donor 24 Club Meeting
Join us for our next Donor 24 Club meeting on Dec. 24 at 1pm. SYMin 24 is a special donor club designed to offer SYMin donors a unique way to make a difference in the lives of our street-dependent clients. Hear from Terry and discuss plans for 2024.
During the Donor 24 Club Meeting we will discuss these topics:
What's new at SYMin?
We have started services at a brand new location: 2008 Justin Lane! We are working hard to spread the word of this change and have started to see clients visit us at the new location. We are very excited about all the potential that this new space has for SYMin. Visit us for our Grand Reopening Celebration on Jan. 4!
What's new in Austin?
The former Salvation Army Shelter on 8th street reopened Dec. 21. Urban Alchemy is running the shelter under a city contract for women and transpeople experiencing homelessness.
What's new nationally?
A record number of people are homeless in the United States. More than 653,100 people were homeless across the country in January, according to a head count conducted for the US Department of Housing and Urban Development.
